Patas 2026 Rules
As a condition of being part of Patas, participants tacitly agree to these rules and the rules of conduct common to public places.
Section 1 – Event
- These rules will apply to the common areas of the hotel and other places where activities related to Patas are being held.
- Patas is a non-profit event held by a group of volunteer organizers, who will be referred to in these rules as "staff".
- Patas is open to those who pay the contribution fee (registration) and who will be referred to here as "participants". During the entire period of Patas and in all non-public access places allocated by the hotel to the party, participants must wear the identification credential, which will be referred to as a "badge" in these rules.
- For the purposes of these rules, those who are 18 years of age or older at midnight on December 11, 2026 will be considered adults, and those who are 17 years of age or younger at midnight on December 11, 2026 will be considered minors.
- Activities that are contests with a winner, or that have some type of prize, are merely recreational and informal, and seek to integrate all participants.
- The trophies and/or other prizes awarded have only sentimental value and do not represent any type of commercial value, nor can they be exchanged for any amount of money.
- The Bazaar will be governed by its own rules, which will be announced when registrations for this activity open.
Section 2 – Rights
- All participants who have paid the participation fee (registration) or have been invited by Patas staff are entitled to: free access to the hotel's convention center on Friday (12/11/2026 – for and after the opening ceremony), Saturday (12/12/2026) and Sunday (12/13/2026), as well as non-public spaces allocated by the hotel to the party organizers.
- Receive a copy of the full text of these regulations and receive other gifts according to the type of registration.
- Participate in the activities promoted by Patas.
- All Patas participants, staff and employees have the right and duty to treat each other with kindness. In the event of any problems regarding treatment, the incident must be reported immediately to any staff member.
- All participants have the right to be heard by the staff regarding suggestions, complaints, compliments or any matters they consider relevant to the organization, at any time, during Patas and after it.
- All participants, regardless of age, have the right to be accompanied by a father and/or mother without being charged a contribution fee. They will be included in the "companion" category. In the case of minors who do not live with their parents, the companion may be the guardian or tutor, upon presentation of the custody agreement with public faith. The companion benefit is exclusive to fathers, mothers and legal guardians.
- The use of fursuits, kigurumi, costumes and cosplays is permitted (as long as they respect decorum and common sense) in the convention center and in all public access areas of the hotel where Patas activities are held.
- Only "fursuiter" participants may participate in the "Fursuit Parade" activity as "fursuiters" and their respective handlers. As a "fursuiter", the Patas staff understands a participant wearing at least one fursuit head or mask that completely hides the face and that must have zooanthropomorphic characteristics.
- Parents or guardians/tutors with proof of custody, or relatives authorized by the staff with parental authorization, have the right and duty to accompany minor participants under the condition of "companion(s)", exempt from the registration fee as long as they register within the staff-stipulated deadline. Companions are only entitled to the "companion" badge giving access to the convention center and fursuit lounge, and are not entitled to participate in interactive activities, receive awards, or appear in official photos.
- Patas may use, free of charge and without prior notice, all material produced by participants, guests or accredited persons during its activities, in the areas where the party is held, guaranteeing due credits to the authors.
- Patas staff will produce videos and photos with participants before, during and eventually after the party. Participants tacitly and irrevocably agree to the use of their images by Patas for an indefinite period, in a non-onerous, irrevocable and irreversible manner, unless expressly requested by staff at the time of registration or before the start of the party.
Section 3 – Duties and Prohibitions
- All participants agree to follow the rules of this regulation and to maintain their behavior in accordance with common rules of decorum and common sense, in addition to all rules of use of the location hosting Patas (Sorocaba Park Hotel and surroundings) and relevant national legislation.

- All participants must respect and pay attention to the warnings given by the staff.

- All participants are responsible for their belongings in all locations where activities are held throughout Patas. Under no circumstances will staff and/or the hotel be responsible for participants' personal belongings. - All participants must have an original identity document with a photo at the time of registration. Certified copies or photos are not considered valid documents by law.

- It is mandatory for everyone, in all public access areas throughout the entire period of Patas, to wear clothing that covers intimate parts and prevents them from being visible even if covered by some type of fabric.
- Physical contact between participants may only occur with the consent of both; otherwise, it is mandatory to respect the space of others.

- Any type of costume, clothing and accessories that suggest, show or simulate, with designs or relief, intimate parts or that have sexual connotations are strictly prohibited. Collars and harnesses are permitted, but never combined with a leash, chain or similar object used to restrict mobility. - Airsoft guns and replicas that have not been inspected by the security team must be transported unloaded and without a magazine attached while inside the event, using cases, boxes, backpacks, or closed bags until reaching the inspection area.
- Bladed weapons, whether realistic or fantasy-style, will be permitted as long as they are made from lightweight materials (rubber, MDF, EVA, foam, plastic, or similar), must not have sharp or cutting edges, and must be inspected by the security team. Objects that could be used as blunt weapons may be allowed if they are part of a cosplay and used in a safe and responsible manner.
- It is strictly prohibited to carry an airsoft gun with the battery attached or inside the equipment. If the participant chooses to keep the magazine attached, it MUST NOT contain any ammunition. Other pressurized weapons not covered by these articles are prohibited.

- Any simulation of combat or improper use of replicas is not allowed outside the controlled areas or areas not supervised by the event security team.
